My 2013 Primetime Emmy Award Nominations

With the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards coming up, I feel it is time that I officially put down which programs I think deserved to be nominated. While I watched as many shows as I would've liked to, the variation is something left to be desired. I watched way too many dramas and not enough comedies, so if my nominations seem a little weird, it's the lack of programs I watched. Oh, and FYI, American Horror Story is a television series in my mind not a miniseries. Without further a due, here are my nominees. Bhuray's Favourite TV Shows of the 2012-2013 Season

Over the past year I have managed to keep up with 21 television shows. I didn't think I would be able to accomplish this because I am notorious for watching a good portion of a series, and then giving up halfway through. 22 episodes just seems so.....well...long..in the long run...haha. Leave it to cable shows to provide 8-13 episodes to quell the time in between the longer series so you have time to finish those and still complete the 22 episodes of the latter. Anyways, here is my list in descending order of the 14 best T.V. shows I watched this year and below that will be the performances I think stood out. I have also included beside each performer what episode I thought they were best in. The winners are highlighted in gold. Go to the comments and tell me if you agree/disagree.

Roger Ebert: 1942-2013

Roger Ebert
1942-2013

It took me a while to say something about this because I have been trying to put into words how I exactly feel. One of the reasons I really started liking film was because of watching Ebert & Roeper at the Movies, so hearing that Roger Ebert had passed away was extremely bittersweet. I appreciate that he gave movies chances and was able to give 4 star ratings to ones people wouldn't normally think to. I do that a lot (I like a lot of movies) and to have someone right of the bat I could relate with was great. I want to thank him for kick starting my obsession with film and lighting a passion inside myself I didn't think I would have.

RIP Mr. Ebert, you will be missed.

Introduction

Hello everyone!

This is my first "introduction to my blog" post I have ever done, so if you're expecting a bunch of fancy shit then you have come to the wrong place :) I did have another blog and it is called Barry's Beetchin Movies. Awful title, I know. I tried to do this before but the blog ended up being several posts of me re-posting grades I had assigned to movies. Those will still be present in this blog, but along with movie reviews detailing what I actually think of these films. I also want to review songs, share artists I like, review books I have read and just pretty much share what is going on in my life at the moment. I am trying to be more open with everyone and one way to do it is (in my mind) to write/type out my thoughts for everyone in the whole wide interweb to see!

Along with all this entertainment stuff, you will get my biting, sarcastic wit. Writing is one of my passions and I want to start heading in the direction of writing stuff for everything. Don't expect anything really fancy because I am not as skilled as some of the other bloggers out there. You'll get pictures, but no special banners or anything like that for a while. Speaking of those people, there are several blogs that I read daily and am going to put on my list of ones I like to peruse through.

So everyone, brace yourselves an prepare for the rrriiiidddeee!!!
